Introduction

Problem
In developing YearUp's referral program product, we faced the challenge of creating a streamlined system that effectively incentivizes and encourages referrals from program participants. Balancing the need for simplicity and user engagement while integrating robust tracking and analytics capabilities posed a complex design dilemma. Additionally, ensuring scalability and adaptability to accommodate YearUp's evolving needs.
Solution
For the Year Up referral program design, I adopted a strategic approach aimed at fostering a sense of community and empowerment among program participants and alumni. Understanding the importance of peer recommendations in driving program enrollment, I conceptualized a visually engaging and user-friendly referral platform.
Leveraging Year Up's branding elements, I incentivized active participation and advocacy within the Year Up community.
